Tyler Kynn

Tyler Kynn is an Assistant Professor of the History of the Islamic World at Central Connecticut State University. He completed his Ph.D. in History at Yale University in the Spring of 2020 with a dissertation entitled “Encounters of Islam and Empire: The Hajj in the Early Modern World.” Much of the research for this historical simulation comes from his current research on pilgrimage to Mecca in the early modern world. Sabiha Göloğlu

Sabiha Göloğlu is a recipient of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (Global) for her research project at the University of Hamburg and the University of Michigan. Formerly, she was a postdoctoral university assistant at the University of Vienna and a CAHIM (Connecting Art Histories in the Museum) fellow of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz and the Museum für Islamische Kunst in Berlin. She holds a PhD in Art History from Koç University in Istanbul and has a background in architecture.
